EKI industrial keyboards with daul rs-232, rs-422 and Parallel Outputs are extremely rugged for industrial use and because they detect our finger optically are rated at 30 million touches a year, there are no rubber seals to crack or wear out, and they are not membrane keyboards with domes that crack. You can even stick a knife in a key and not hurt the seal, operation or life of the keyboard. When mounted all EKI industrial rs232 ad rs422 keyboards are NEMA 4, or EKI has models that are NEMA 4 when used standalone on factory floors or wash down areas. Unlike most other NEMA 4 industrial rs 232 and rs 422 keyboards you can actually clean these, so if something gets spilled on them you just wash them off and they look new again, cokes or other fluids can't get between keys or in the cracks around the keys, and detecting your finger optically with no moving parts the keys can't stick and they'll never wear out, try the coke test on theirs.... then you'll buy ours.
